The Acai Berry - Nature's Superfood
There is alot of buzz going on these days about the acai berry. Buy Why? What is the acai berry and why should you care?
The Acai Berry
Acai berries are small dark and purple in color. They apparently have an extremely high level of antioxidants in them. Even more so than the famous blueberry. There are many berries that have high levels of antioxidants in them such as raspberries, blueberries, boysenberries and goji berries but the acai berry is supposed to contain the highest levels of all.
The acai berry is native to the Amazon Basin in the region of Brazil. It grows in acai palm trees which can get very tall. They grow in groves near the water or elsewhere. Below is a picture of a grove of acai berry palm trees in their natural environment.
Acai Berry Palm Trees
Health Benefits Of Acai Berry
Acai Berries are loaded with phytonutrients, essential fatty acids and anthocyanins. Research has shown that plant pigmants such as anthocyanins are potent antioxidants. Research has also shown that antioxidants are excellent for the health of humans.
There are many supposed health benefits of consuming acai berries. These claims include such things as:
Increased Energy
Fights Cancer
Healthy Prostate
Eliminate Blood Clots
Improved blood circulation
Improved Digestion
Better Mental Clarity
Promote Better Sleep
Fights Free Radicals
Strengthens Imune System
Increases Sexual Desire and Performance
Slows the Aging Process
Healthy Skin
Fights Diabetes
Reduces Inflammation
Healthy Heart
Healthy Skin
Maintain Healthy Chloresterol Levels
These are just a few of the health benefits that you may get from consuming acai berries. There are many more but with this, I'm sure you get the idea.
One of the hardest things for me to figure out is which type of acai berry solution or pills should i buy. My concern is that they can lose alot of the beneficial qualities during the harvesting and manufacturing process. I see that they are often dried and then reliquified later. Or they are put into tablet form. From what I can tell though, the only way you could get fresh acai berries would be to grow them yourself! This is not something all people will want to do.
I would recommend purchasing one of the leading brands that has a well known reputation for producing a truly quality product that is potent and not "watered down" shall we say.
Whatever the case may be, it appears that the acai berry is a winner when it comes to you and your health.
Where to Purchase Acai Berry in Liquid or Capsule Form
The pill or capsule form of concentrated acai berry seems to be the most popular as it is less expensive for the amount of concentrate you can buy. This is most likely due to the high cost of shipping the liquid form which is full of water. Water is heavy and expensive to ship.

Ideas for Living Healthy
At some point in our life, many of us realize that we want to start living healthier or working toward having a healthy body and mind.
One of the main focuses of healthy living is the concept of "you are what you eat". There is a lot of truth to this. That is why many people decide to start eating more natural foods with natural ingredients.
For example, Pamela's Product line offers wheat and gluten free natural foods including cookies and cake mixes that have all natural ingredients. These have become quite popular for their good taste and healthy qualities.
Another product that is getting some attention these days is called Verilux. They make a light treatment that is supposed to help people who don't get enough sun. The theory is that if you sit around a lot under fake lighting, you can get a condition called seasonal affective disorder. The Verilux light products are supposed to help with this.
One last thought on how people are choosing to live healthier is by the products that they use for everyday things such as brushing their teeth or washing their bodies. For example, some people prefer to use only all natural soaps such as Mrs. Meyer's Soap. They feel that there is no reason to be using products with chemicals and fake fragrances in them.
So those are few thoughts on how people are choosing to live healthy each day.

Erectile Dysfunction
Erectile dysfunction, formerly called impotence, is the inability to obtain an adequate erection for satisfactory sexual activity. It's more common in men over 65, but it can occur at any age.
If you are a male that is suffering from erectile dysfunction, there are several options available to you in your quest to try to regain your previous level of performance.
You can try natural approaches if you like using things like ginko and zinc. If these don't work you can try taking the mainstream western approach of pharmaceutical drugs for erectile dysfunction such as Cialis, Levitra or Viagra. You can purchase these at many different places including at the Center for Men's Health.
The goal is of course to overcome this dysfunction and therefore increase your enjoyment in life. Be sure to do your own research first to determine what possible health effects these different drugs or natural solution my have on your health.
Many drugs have potentially dangerous side effects and some natural remedies are not safe to take either. You should always consult your doctor before taking any type of drug or medicine and always make sure you fully understand what the possible effects on your health can be.

Mitral Valve Problems
Mitral Valve: What is it?
The mitral valve is one of the four valves of the heart. It is located in the left side of the heart, and it separates the left atrium from the left ventricle.
Many people end up having problems with their mitral valve and they need to have them fixed.
Whether they have some type of leakage of blood or a narrowing of the valve itself, sometimes it is necessary to have mitral valve surgery.
One place I found that specialized in mitral valve repair is the Maryland Heart Center. For more information on mitral valve, I suggest you visit them.

How To Get Rid Of Bad Breath
What is bad breath? Bad breath is breath that has a foul odor. Another name for bad breath is halitosis. Bad breath can be a permanent problem or can be sporadic depending on what is causing it.
Some types of bad breath are quite normal such as morning breath. This is because when you sleep at night, the bacteria have time to grow and this produces a bad odor.
There are many causes of bad breath. Some of them are as follows:
* Food. The breakdown of food particles in and around your teeth can cause a foul odor. Also, eating certain foods such as garlic or onions can cause bad breath.
* Dental problems. Poor dental hygiene can be a source of bad breath. If you don’t brush and floss daily, food particles remain in your mouth, collecting bacteria and emitting hydrogen sulfur vapors. A colorless, sticky film of bacteria (plaque) forms on your teeth. If not brushed away, plaque can irritate your gums (gingivitis) and cause tooth decay.
* Dry mouth. Saliva helps cleanse and moisten your mouth. A dry mouth enables dead cells to accumulate on your tongue, gums and cheeks. These cells then decompose and cause odor. Dry mouth naturally occurs during sleep. It’s what causes “morning breath.” Dry mouth is even more of a problem if you sleep with your mouth open.
* Diseases. Chronic lung infections and lung abscesses can produce very foul-smelling breath. Several other illnesses can cause a distinctive breath odor.
* Mouth, nose and throat conditions. Bad breath is also associated with sinus infection because nasal discharge from your sinuses into the back of your throat can cause mouth odor.
* Tobacco products. Smoking dries out your mouth and causes its own unpleasant mouth odor. Tobacco users are also more likely to have periodontal disease, an additional source of bad breath.
Preventing Bad Breath
Bad breath can be reduced or prevented if you:
1. Practice good oral hygiene.
2. See your dentist regularly
3. Stop smoking/chewing tobacco-based products.
4. Drink lots of water. This will keep your mouth moist.
Who can treat bad breath?
In most cases, your dentist can treat the cause of bad breath. If your dentist determines that your mouth is healthy and that the odor is not of oral origin, you may be referred to your family doctor or to a specialist to determine the odor source and treatment plan.
